                  On Qur'an & The
                         Believers

Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari (May Allah be pleased with him):
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The example of a Believer who recites the Qur'an, is that of a citron which smells good and tastes good; And the example of a Believer who does not recite the Qur'an, is that of a date which has no smell but tastes sweet; and the example of a hypocrite who recites the Qur'an, is that of an aromatic plant which smells good but tastes bitter; and the example of a hypocrite who does not recite the Qur'an, is that of a colocynth plant which has no smell and is bitter in taste."

Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (Razi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) se riwayat hai ki:
Rasoolullah (ﷺ) ne farmaya, "Joh Qur'an padhta hai uss momin ki misaal sangtrey (orange) jaisi hai, jiski khushbu bhi pakeeza hai aur maza bhi pakeeza hai. Aur uss momin ki misaal joh Qur'an nahi padhta khajoor jaisi hai, jis mai koi khushbu nahi hoti lekin maza meetha hota hai. Aur munafiq joh Qur'an padhta ho, uski misaal phool jaisi hai, jiski khushbu toh acchi hoti hai lekin maza kadwa hota hai. Aur joh munafiq Qur'an bhi nahi padhta uski misaal indrayan (ek ayurvedic jadibooti) jaisi hai, jis mai koi khushbu nahi hoti aur maza bhi kadwa hota hai."
